Doolin Surfest is back for its second year, featuring the prime beef Irish surf over the past 12 months.

From March 20-22, the cream of the Irish crop will make their way to Hotel Doolin for two days of all things Emerald Isle. Over the course of the weekend, accolades will be handed out for the best Irish wave surfed during the winter and the Tonn Mor comps; biggest wave, worst wipeout and ride of the year.

Also, the short movie competition is back, showcasing the best of Irish surfing. Last year's winner Ollie O'Flaherty said: “It was an epic experience and it was an honour to win the first Doolin Surfest. Looking forward to another epic event.” Enter your best and brightest submission by going HERE.

Clem McInerney, Competitions Director, added: “It was really amazing to see everything the Irish surf community had to offer last year. During the winter we are always on the move and chasing swells. It was great to have a weekend all in one place where we could look back and reflect on some really amazing achievements.”

And manager of Hotel Doolin Donal Minihane said: “Hotel Doolin are very excited to be launching year two of the Doolin Surfest.

“This time last year we were heading into the unknown but the Irish surfing community really got behind the event by entering the competitions and travelling in numbers from all over the country to Doolin, It’s really thanks to them that we are able to put on the festival again this year. We’ve got a great team working on the programme and they are busy putting together another amazing weekend of cracking surf movies, workshops, panel discussions, music and food and we can’t wait to welcome wave-riders from all over the country and beyond back to Doolin this spring.”

This year's wipeout of the year is open, here's a submission from James Monaghan.

Entries are already coming through and if you want to submit your own, then see HERE for details. To buy tickets to the event, head to the website, HERE.
