About Ocean City, NJ

The sand build-up here provides a steep sucky left from a critical take-off point just in front of the end of the jetty down towards the next groin at 8th Street. Handles the big NE swells, but a S swell doesn’t work on the north side of the jetty.

Hazards include the long, exposed stormwater pipes that stick out in the surf at high tides. Summer surfing restrictions and plenty of taggers.
