1ft Medium Offshore wind *
Surf conditions at 7.35 a.m. on Friday 26th October 2012: Eeek, it's a wee bit chilly out there this morning! And a bit dark and a bit drizzly too. But hopefully that's all going to change, the sun will eventually haul itself over that horizon and shoo those clouds away but maybe not for a while. Maybe not until this afternoon? But it will brighten eventually. It's just a shame that it can't have that effect on the surf too! Right now it's almost a foot in size, just a fraction bigger maybe than yesterday's almost flatness but still barely rideable. With that brisk offshore (north easterly) wind gusting against any swell, it's surprising that any waves are getting in at all. But yesterday was rideable, if you picked just the right time at just the right place then you could get a fun glide. The kids and surf schools were having a blast! And I think that's going to be the way of it today too. If you find the right little sandbank just as the tide is focusing on it then you will probably end up having a better time of it than expected, gliding across those knee high and curving little walls.
