Quik Pro France 2012 - The Story

by on Thursday 29th November, 2012   13096 Views

QUIKSILVER Pro France 2012, the story of an epic contest at La Graviere won by Kelly Slater.

Bringing you up close and personal with the world’s best surfers, here’s the Quik Pro France story through their eyes.

It started off tricky and brutal with the line between closeout and makable in the La Graviere shorebreak blurring horrendously. Contest director, Mikey Picon worked hard to put the surfers the right side of that line, eyes glued to the forecast and the huge tidal swings foreshortening any available window.

The end result? A contest combining critical conditions, upsets, dream runs and broken dreams in equal measure.
