KICKING-OFF our Northern Exposure shortlisted entries are three of the best from the month of November: Nazare, Porthleven and Croyde. This definitive (and consequently small) shortlist will be updated as-and-when we receive worthy candidates. This collection will hopefully swell with visceral chilly stoke throughout the winter and will be voted upon in March by an independent panel of judges. The winning shooter and the surfer in frame will receive 8 nights in the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore, including flights and car hire courtesy of theperfectwave. In order to qualify photos must have been taken between November 1st to March 31st and yes we will backdate entries. Think you can do better? Upoad them to the site and tag them up with Northern Exposure. ENTRY 3: The largest waves of the Atlantic winter (and most of the world) have consistently broken off Nazare in Portugal during the autumn. If GMAC wins this one, all we'll be doing is picking up the tab for his flight home so if any Euros want a holiday - get uploading. © 2013 Miguel Costa
ENTRY 2: is a backlit keg from that far western maiden, Porthleven, as captured by Johnny Griffiths. © 2013 Johnny Griffiths
ENTRY 1: heralds from what many believe to be the South West's highest quality (and busiest) beachbreak, Croyde in North Devon where the horzon is always a little wonky. © 2013 shottykid
